Maybe everybody else on the planet knows about this band. I just discovered them about two months ago when I was watching a rerun of an episode of “The Blacklist.” They played a song called “Sour Cherry,” and I thought it was so cool I just had to look it up.

I found The Kills’ website and ordered a CD. I play it every Saturday morning when I’m cleaning the house. It really gets me moving.

How would I describe their music? Gritty. Deep. Dangerous. My pulse picks up and I feel breathless, like I just tackled a challenge that scared the crap out of me, but I came through victorious.  I sense a tremendous amount of freedom and creative risk-taking in their music and I love it.
