How I Write a Poem
The revision process is where the poem really gets written. It’s a process of discovery. I get to chip away at the rough draft, dab something here, scrape off something there, and the poem takes shape.

We all need somebody to urge us on, with simple words or raucous cheers. Life is short. If we hide our knowledge, our creations, our process, we are acting out of fear.
